Las Vegas, Nev. — The Sunrise Health System announced today that it has been named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades, the number one site Americans use when searching for a doctor or hospital. This achievement reflects Sunrise, MountainView and Southern Hills Hospitals’ commitment to clinical excellence and top-tier patient care, placing the organization in the top 2% of U.S. hospitals for overall clinical performance. This is the third year in a row MountainView Hospital has received this designation and a first for the health system.

In addition to this distinction for overall clinical care, the Sunrise Health System has been recognized for its exceptional patient outcomes in key service areas, including cardiac care, orthopedic surgery, stroke care, critical care, surgical care and more. These accolades further underscore the Sunrise Health System’s dedication to delivering the highest quality care to every patient, year after year.

“We are incredibly proud and honored that all three of the Sunrise Health System hospitals were recognized as Top 100. This achievement reflects the dedication, hard work and compassionate care of our entire team. More importantly, it is a testament to our ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of our community,” said Jackie Van Blaricum, president of the Sunrise Health System. “Being recognized at this level allows us to continue investing in innovative solutions, advanced technologies and patient-centered care, ensuring that every individual who walks through our doors receives the highest quality treatment. This milestone reinforces our mission to be a trusted partner in the health of our community, and we look forward to continuing to serve with excellence for many years to come."

The Sunrise Health System’s achievement is based solely on what matters most: patient outcomes. To determine America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2026, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for more than 30 of the most common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide.

Healthgrades’ analysis found that outcomes vary widely between the nation’s highest- and lowest-performing facilities — and the gap is getting bigger. In fact, if all hospitals, as a group, performed similarly to America’s 100 Best, on average, 210,126 lives could have been saved during the 2022-2024 study period.* These findings illustrate the importance of choosing a facility with an established record of superior clinical outcomes.

“This year's America’s Best Hospitals list gives patients a clearer picture of where high-quality care is delivered most consistently,” said Alana Biggers, MD, MPH, medical advisor at Healthgrades. “Patients can feel confident in their decision to seek care at any Sunrise Health hospital, an organization that is setting the standard for clinical excellence nationwide.”

With care variation on the rise, consumers must find and select a top-rated hospital to maximize their chances of a successful outcome.
